Only a few centuries ago, Wall Street is were Africans where once perched along the infamous Wall St. wall as property for purchase. Today, just a few feet around the corner the Broad Street Ballroom host a catwalk, were Africans arrived to be adorned for style, beauty and apparel design. Upon arrival I couldn't help but be taken back by the high celing, marbled floor, and etchings of ancient maritime voyeur ships along the walls with tall columns that evoked Egyptian temples. I thought, how apropos this venue is for Africans! Coincidentally timed before the anniversary of the AGOA treaty and conference.
